Merry Christmas

I've had this Tim Holtz embossing folder for quite some time and never really knew what to do with it, so I finally sat down and made a card that I'm happy with. After embossing, I swiped it with a platinum ink pad which made the really large greeting stand out from the white. I adorned it with tiny dots of platinum stickles to indicate snow, placed it on a green card base and called it done!

I'm sharing this card with the following challenges:

the Christmas Kickstart challenge #93 - if it's Christmassy, link it up!

Can You Handle the Pressure? - A/G embossing with a twist of winter fun

the Allsorts Challenge #809 - Winter Flowers & Fauna or A/G

Thanks for stopping by and as always, make it a great day!

It's absolutely gorgeous Carol! I first thought you had placed a die cut sentiment on top, but read it was an embossing folder! Wow, that ink really did make it pop! The stickles really gives it a nice light sparkle too! Love it!

Very stylish Carol W on W is one I usually avoid but this looks lovely and can see the sparkle as well which draws the eye to the statement sentiment.

Many thanks for joining us at Allsorts challenge.

This is beautiful, Carol! I love what you did with the embossing folder and will have to remember that tip! I have a few embossing folders that are words and I never used them because it looks blah! This makes for a quick & very easy card! TFS and hope your staying warm! Hugs~

What a super large embossing folder and I like the way you emphasized it with the ink pad and stickles.

An elegant card, Carol. Highlighting the sentiment with the ink pad is really effective. Thank you for joining in the Allsorts Challenge this week.

A gorgeous and elegant card, I too thought it was a die cut at first, a beautiful technique you did to make it stand out!

Carol, your Christmas card is absolutely stunning! The way you've used the Tim Holtz embossing folder with platinum ink and stickles creates such a beautiful and elegant effect. The green card base adds a lovely touch of color.
