I've had this Simon Says Stamp Stylized Holy Star die for a while and decided to use it to make a Christmas card. I cut it from gold mirror paper and white, and placed it on a stenciled background done with Pink Fresh Layered Sunburst stencils and some assorted yellow inks. I die cut some tiny angels from snippets of a thick, shiny white cardstock I've been hanging onto for eons. A friend sent me a few sheets probably ten years ago and I decided it was high time to use those little bits of pretty white festive cardstock to create the angels (done with I.O. dies) and used a gold paint pen to color their halos and wing tips. The sentiment is by Creative Expressions and was cut from mirror gold cardstock. Since I cut the large star with 2 colors, that left enough pieces to create another card with the 2nd star in alternating colors.
I kept the stenciling lighter on this card but it was made much like the first one. That's two Christmas cards I have finished for my stash.

I have no idea what in the world is going on with blogger, but it's not cooperating at all today. I always center my posts but today nothing will center when I click that link until I click it 4 or 5 times. Also my comment section is completely filled with older posts (6,7,8, and 9 years old) and it's annoying because I'm unable to get to any new posts because of all the old ones clogging up my blog reader list. Maybe if I take a moment to click my heels together 3 times things will magically return to normal again?? LOL
😆😝😡
Thanks for stopping by and I wish you all the best possible day. .

Hi Carol
Two beautiful angelic and starry Christmas cards.
Thanks for coming to play in the Snippets Playground. See you up in the treehouse for some of your home made biscotti and a glass or two of the Baileys. Yummy!!
As far as older posts clogging up your reading list goes - I understand that these are likely to be long inactive blogs. If you unfollow them they should stop appearing. HTH xxx
Wow, I love that gorgeous sunburst you've achieved in your background! It works perfectly for the star! The angels around it are perfect with it too! Nicely done getting a twofer and using those papers! Hope you can sort out your blogger issues and it magically fixes itself! Hugs
Snap on that Blogger issue Carol, I actually deleted one and started over the other day and second attempt was fine, no rhyme or reason.
This is a stunning design, all works so well from the stencilled background and reflects your chosen Christmas Carol perfectly.

Excellent choice of stencil to make a background for these two beautiful stars and angels - great to get two for one 😉
What a beautiful design! Great use of your snippets too.
Beautiful and creative cards Carol, what a fabulous idea with the stenciled background for your star and angels! Yes, blogger can be a big nuisance at times for sure and just about when you are ready to tear your hair out it fixes itself it seems!
These cards are absolutely beautiful, Carol! Those little angels are stunning and how perfect for a Christmas card! Love the the stenciled sunburst and the gold foiled sentiment! Just so beautiful!!! I think Blogger is back to making some changes again. I had some of those issues the other day and it was acting wonky. I hate change and wish they'd just let well enough alone! TFS and wishing you a nice day ahead even though it is pouring down raining (we need it though)! Hugs~
What gorgeous cards using the angel and star dies!! Wonderful stenciled background! Yes, blogger can be very frustrating at times! I hope it improves for you very soon!
Love both cards and designs. The sunburst makes both cards stand out.
Love, Hugs and Blessings
