I found this cute fall squirrel image sitting in my box of stamped images waiting to be used, and now that fall is in the air, it's the perfect time to color it and make a card with it. Sorry, I didn't write the mfr's name on the back when I stamped it, so I have no idea who made the stamp. After coloring with Copics, I die-cut the image with a Lil Inker stitched rectangle and matted it with a scrap of yellow. The background was made with snippets of retired SU! dsp, randomly cut into shapes and placed on an adhesive sheet, then embossed with white pearl embossing powder to cover all the exposed adhesive for a fun look. The sentiment is by Sweet 'n Sassy stamped on a snippet of orange cardstock, die cut with a MFT stitched circle with an added leaf remnant of a border punch I had years ago. I placed it on a kraft cardstock base and called it done.
I'm sharing with these challenges:
the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Make your own background
the Double D Challenge - Fall Leaves
the Cardz for Galz Challenge #234 - any coloring medium

Thanks for stopping by and make it a great day today.

A cute squirrel image and a clever idea for a different kind of background - good thinking
A fun Autumnal card Carol. We've got a good few Squirrels in the gardens and I spend hours watching them. They are particularly busy right now, one will spend ages burying something, often conkers as they like the small ones on the younger tree up the top paddock, ten minuted later another comes and digs it up.
And they are easy to identify who is doing what as we have grey and the rare black ones who have interbred since released a couple of years ago and now we have variants in assorted colours.
