Neon Birthday Card

My friend's grandson will soon be celebrating his 5th birthday so I put this little card together for him. I made a panel of colorful strips of PTI bitty box basics dsp that I've had for probably a decade or more and placed it on a black card base. I used many different die cut pieces to put this together and if you want to know any specifics, let me know in a comment and I'll get back to you with those. Those 5 tiny candles were done with a tiny birthday candle die and I added glaze pen accents to the flames. I added a pre-printed SSS sentiment, then added 5 gems to the number 5 just to bring more color onto the card. I don't often use black for a child's card, but I think this works with all the different colors.

I'll share this with:

Thanks for stopping by and make it a great day!
Carol

I love the use of your colorful strips panel. That would be a great way to use up scraps. Wonderful card for a little one turning 5.

What a fun and festive card for a 5 year old Carol! I just got a tiny candle die in the mail as a freebie and thought, "how will I use this tiny thing?" LOL Thanks for an idea on how to use it! I love all the fun and happy colors in this one, especially love the gems on the number 5. I bet this little fella will love this card too. Hugs, Brenda

Hi dear Carol! I don't know why, but kids usually love black and your card looks great with all these colours! The design is super as always! Love the strips panel and those cute tiny candles on it! And such fabulous catch eyes is that big circle with the five, lighting by the gems, and the matching "make a wish label"! Beautiful sentiment too, in two different colours!
Have a lovely weekend! Sending big hugs as always across the miles!
