July 4th

Here's a card I made for the July 4th holiday coming up. I used a very old Sweet 'n Sassy Cocoa mouse digital image with a firecracker along with an older piece of double sided dsp that I got at Tuesday Morning years ago. I used some MFT stitched square dies to cut the image and red mat and added a sparkly blue star done with a (r) SU! mini punch. The sentiment was computer generated and die-cut with a MFT fishtail banner die. The background design was made using the Freshly Made Sketch challenge #591 but I needed to change the sentiment placement with the image I used. Seeing the sketch design and my card side-by-side I realize I reversed the design too...sigh. Some days I'm a hopeless case πŸ˜‹

Thanks for stopping by today and make it a good one. Keep smiling 😁
Carol

Such a sweet image and I'm sure it's fine to rotate or otherwise when using sketches as long as the finished card shows some resemblance πŸ˜‰

How cute is this 4th of July card?!! I love it Carol, love Cocoa the Mouse as he is so adorable. Great papers and a fun sketch to boot! And yes, I can see the sketch in your card so you are not a hopeless case! You still stuck to the sketch but made it your own and I love that. Unlike me who follows a sketch exactly because I have no imagination. LOL Hugs, Brenda

I know your love for Cocoa mouse, dear Carol, and this one with the firecracker is delightfully CUTE! Just perfect to celebrate your Independence Day, as well the stars & stripes and the colours of your card!
I'm not good with sketches, they aren't my forte, but I think that reversing and rotating are always admitted.
Hope you have a good weather, not too hot, and enjoy your days. Sending as always my biggest hugs and heartfelt thoughts!
