Birthday Card

I have a quick and easy birthday card that would be good for someone who loves horses. My husband would have loved this one as much as I do. We used to have horses years ago and we both loved horses!
I found this image in my stash and decided it was time to make a card with it, so I placed it on a soft brown card base, added 3 dark brown brads and a sentiment and called it done! The image is by Coronado Island, and I don't think they're in business anymore, sadly. I stamped it with a brown ink on a vanilla card and decided that's all it needed.

I'll share this with these challenges:

Crafty Catz Anything Goes Challenge - A/G with an optional twist of using black, grey and one other color

TIME OUT challenge #232 - Anything Birthday Goes

That's it for me today - it's been another gloomy, rainy day but I'm grateful we're OK here in PA so far after that disaster in Ohio with the train derailments!! I feel just awful for the folks who live in that town and what they're up against. The worst of it may not be seen for decades after all is said and done so I'm keeping the prayers going.

Thanks for stopping by and have a good weekend.

Carol

Beautiful card, Carol! I did not know you had horses at one point in your life! I have a friend that lives in Phoenixville and she has had horses all her life. Anyways, I love the soft brown color on your card. Such a great image, too! I agree with you on the train derailment! Wasn't there another one too this past week? Prayers going out to those people and what they are going thru! Have a good weekend and stay warm, my friend! Hugs~

I'm sure that your hubby would have loved so much this fabulous card and I think he could see it from the Heaven...or from the All-Around-Us-Unknown-Universe,... I don't know well how is Soul's life out of here...but I'm sure that there is!
Here in Italy media doesn't talk about the Ohio disaster, but I know it by some social media, and understand how much horrendous is what happened. Prayers for all the people and all the nature there... I know also that the train should have arrived in Pennsylvania... You have been blessed that it is derailed before coming. Sad thought to do, but it's the true.
Sending biggest hugs, love and prayers dear Carol!

A perfect card!!! It didn't need anything else other than the image and brads. Perfect for anyone - guy or gal - that loves horses.
Really sad about the train derailment. So many peoples lives affected and will be for a long, long time now too.

A beautiful card Carol and it doesn't need anything else, as the gorgeous image does all the work! I love horses too, they are just magnificently beautiful and majestic. When looking into their eyes, it's like looking into their souls. Just stunning creatures. Yes, those dreary rainy days were depressing, but I agree in that with what Ohio is going through, I will take the rainy days! Although, Bret has seen the "smoke" from the space satellite and he said it looks like a nuclear bomb went off. He also said that it is heading mine and Harrisburg's way. So he told me to watch for any "new" symptoms and to record them if I get any. Lets hope not!!! I'm afraid we will be hearing about fall out for years to come over this. My prayers are with those people that live there and for the crews that is fighting this fire and clean up crews. Nasty stuff! Hugs, Brenda
