Birthday Card

Recently I was inspired by a card that came in an email advertisement and decided to make a similar one for my stash. I pulled lots of snippets from my box and put this floral card together.

The doily border was done with a Martha Stewart punch, and the pre-printed sentiment is by Simon Says Stamp. I used assorted flower punches and greenery dies to create the cluster of flowers, adding mini brads and assorted gemstones scattered about. I added a die-cut SU! butterfly to over up an accidental dab of glue in the wrong place. The embossed panel was done with a SU! Decorative Dots embossing folder.

I'm sharing this with the following challenges:

(They're celebrating their 11th blog birthday, yay!)

(They're celebrating their 7th blog birthday, yay!)

Thanks for stopping by to visit, may your day be a great one!

Well now Carol, this is SUCH a pretty and feminine birthday card - beautifully die cut and the layout is great.

Thanks for handing in your homework to the Snippets Playground in a timely fashion! Once you've finished playing on the swings, come up to the Treehouse for a celebratory gin (or two!). xxx

Hi dear Carol! This card looks so sweet, feminine and delicate, such fabulous design and pastel colours! It has a very positive feel and a so beautiful design! Any detail looks adorable! The flowers and leaves arrangement makes me smile, as well the tiny gems and the cute butterfly. Dab of glue or not, that butterfly is as the ice on the cake! :) Love it there!!! Beautiful scallop border and embossed panel as well! Also the sentiment is fabulous! And last but not least, you used scraps, very well done!!
Big hugs, love, peace and prayer from the bottom of my heart!

It's so nice to see flowers on cards right now. It's a cold, rainy, dreary day here and this is a charming card that is so cheerful.

Oh wow Carol! Your flower arrangement turned out stunning! How cool that you were able to pull from your snippets to create this lovely spray! What a gorgeous birthday card with that doily border to help set it off so nicely too!

WHAT a darling card Carol. SO pretty (I found the CAPS lock key on my new keyboard - did you see that?). Sweet, fresh AND it's so good to see a MS punch being used after so long. I have a ton of MS punches here .......... bought just before dies overtook them. Still pretty to look at the punches on a shelf as well

Hugs - and a special soft cuddly dog 'woofle' from Dudley.
