While I had my Altenew Dahlia stencils out recently, I decided to make another card with them using the color yellow. For this background I used Distress inks of Lemonade and Mustard. The flowers were stamped on pieces that match the card base, clear heat embossed, and fussy cut. I die cut the centers from polka dot dsp and placed them on the centers. The leaves and flowers are both from a very old Hero Arts Stamp set that I've had probably 8 years or more. The sentiment is by Sweet 'n Sassy (from 2009) and I colored inside the letters with a matching Copic marker, and placed it all on a die-cut MFT fishtail flag banner.
I'll enter this into the following challenges:

Beautiful background for those pretty flowers. Thanks for sharing at JUGS this week.
Yellow, I think it's such a happy colour and lifts the day so whoever receives this beauty will definitely be smiling once opened. I just love the yellow on yellow effect 💛 super fussy cutting of the dinky flowers to add dimension and the retro sentiment is awesome x
Such a pretty card in lovely yellow! Love those beautiful flowers and wonderful background!
What a beautiful, bright and cheerful card Carol! I love yellow because it is such a happy color and the "yellow" sunshine always makes me feel happy. I love your stencil, looks so pretty as a background. Of course I love these sweet flowers and need to get mine out and use them...although I could probably never do them justice like you do! The happy birthday banner is perfectly nestled among your sweet flowers. Love it! Hope you have enjoyed this beautiful week! Hugs, Brenda

Fabulously sunny, cheerful card. We're still experiencing rather chilly temps here some days (and almost every night), so the more warm, vibrant colours, the better!
