Peace on Earth

I found this pre-cut Lawn Fawn snowflake in my box of snippets and decided it was time to make a card with it. I'd used some SU! glittered red cardstock to cut it, along with a little bit of silver mirror card. I also had the pre-cut white panel in my snippet box and it seemed to work perfectly for what I had in mind. I pulled out my remaining sheet of glittered cardstock and die-cut the Die-Versions sentiment and decided that's all this card needed.

Since I had the red glitter paper out, I cut another Lawn Fawn snowflake and decided to make 2 cards. I also cut another Gina Marie Designs white panel. For this version, I used a few tiny dots of Smooch around the snowflake just to make it a little bit different. These aren't traditional Christmas colors but black seemed to be the only card base I liked with the red and white. I'm leaning toward peace on earth sentiments this year because with so much unrest in the world, we can all use peace in our lives more than ever.

I'm sharing the first card with these challenges:

Thanks for stopping by and I wish you all a wonderful week ahead. Winter reappeared here yesterday and it's still hanging around today with winds, colder temperatures and rain mixed with sunshine. We had a hint of spring recently but hopefully it will return soon and stay here for a while before the hot summer temperatures slide right on in! I washed the extra bed blankets and stored them for summer over the weekend and last night I could have used them again! Bad timing on my part ๐Ÿ˜‰

This is a beautiful card with the perfect sentiment. You are right, we need peace right now. We got winter back too with a bit of snow yesterday.

What a gorgeous card design Carol! I love the elegant classy look with the red, white and black especially for Christmas and your can't go wrong with sparkle either! We did have snow on the ground when we woke up yesterday morning and I just sighed! I do think by the end of this week it SHOULD be getting a little better...let's hope mother nature calms down a bit! LOL! Sending warm hugs

A lovely festive make with your snippets Carol.

Sorry to hear you had a cold snap right after you washed and put away the warm blankets! Flipping typical!

Your card is beautiful with that glittery red snowflake! I suppose this recent taste of winter inspired this! LOL It's crazy how we can go from 70 down to 30 but they say that is usually what happens in the spring. I'm ready for full blown spring now, please! Yesterday we had more graupel. Seems that is becoming more & more talked about here. I still have my extra warm blankets out and probably won't put them away until about July with how crazy our weather has been. Hope you stay warm during this latest winter episode. Believe it or not, I hear possibly 80 on Sunday! Thanks for sharing, Carol, and have a great rest of your week! Hugs~

I totally agree with you, Carol! Peace begins with us, in our little places...
Love your Wintery CAS cards, they are very effective and dramatic with those big glittered snowflakes and the postage stamp panels. The sentiment looks cute and love the little dots in the second card.
Winter comes again also here, after a week of very hot Spring. It seems that we will have a week of rain and low temperatures. I cross my fingers that it will be not too cold, as I already put tomatoes plants in my vegetable garden :)
Sending hugs, LOVE and PEACE on your way, dear friend!

This is such a serene, timelessly pretty wintertime greeting. If ever a holiday calls for glitter, IMO, it is Christmas.
