Mother's Day Card

I had this sheet of dsp left from an old paper pad and decided to use it to make a mother's day card since it had flowers on it. I cut a stem with a Cheery Lynn die and added punched flowers to it using retired SU! mini flower punches, adding green gemstones to the centers. The sentiment was done with GMD Venetian Labels dies in coordinating colors. Actually the green is the flip side of this piece of dsp, while the flowers were tiny snippets left from the coordinating papers in the pad. The covers are long gone, so I don't know who made the papers but I'm glad I was able to finally use them. The sentiment is from SU! (retired) teeny tiny wishes.

I'm sharing this with the Color Hues Challenge #39 - purple & green

Have a great weekend everyone and thanks so much for stopping by!

Carol

Ooh I love the patterned paper, it's bold and reminiscent of retro wallpaper. Adding the flourish in white makes it pop and the little flowers taking inspiration from the paper is delightful and makes a cohesive card x

Wonderfully lovely design, Carol. I adore the darker background used on a card for a special event (Mother's Day) that is often associated with pastels and brighter hues. That really resonates with my personal papercrafting style.
