Bloomin' Heart

I made this card for someone who asked for a plain bridal shower card for her friend. She chose to hand-write the sentiment inside rather than detract from the pretty heart on the outside. I used a SU! Bloomin' Heart die set to cut the heart and flowers, and colored them with light pink and green Copics for a pastel look. I added a darker pink color to the hearts in the die, and added pearls to the flower centers. The background was done with a SU! (r) Falling Petals embossing folder and I added some white satin ribbon along with some SU! (r) gold cord tied into a bow behind the flower.

I'm sharing this with the Can You Handle the Pressure? challenge -
must use an embossing folder with an optional twist of using pastels.

Thanks for the visit and I wish you the happiest weekend ever!

Carol

Such a gorgeous card, Carol! I bet your friend loved this! I love how soft the bits of color are and the embossing is lovely! I was recently going to pull this embossing folder & die out to create an anniversary card for my card lady's order but ended up going in a different direction. I so love this and love that you left it without a saying! Well done, my friend! Enjoy the weekend....atleast right now the sun is shining and it's feeling a bit warmer! Hugs~

Tremendously lovely card, Carol. It captures the matrimonial spirit to a tee and is as timeless as the act of exchanging wedding rings itself.
