Turning Five

Friends of ours have a grandson who turns 5 in a couple more weeks, so I made this card for him. I used an unknown digital image and colored it with Copics, adding a MB die-cut little dachshund puppy (because his grandparents have a little Dachshund that he plays with all the time.) I added a diagonal strip of polka dot paper die-cut with a Lil Inker stitched die, and placed it on a lavender card base. I die cut the card base and image panel with Lil Inker stitched rectangles and then added a birthday sentiment I fussy cut and placed on matching cardstock. The 5 was die cut with my QuicKutz and placed on his shirt just for fun.

I'm sharing this with the Cardz 4 Guyz Challenge #288 -
Something beginning with the letter "P"
Purple, Puppy, Polka Dots

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you're all staying warm where you live. It's brutally cold here in PA today but by mid week it's supposed to warm up considerably. Take good care and stay safe!

Oh my word, what an adorable image and thoroughly charming card.

I love creating projects for kids, but there is only one youngster in our immediate family at the moment and relatively few of my friends have small kids, so I rarely get the chance to do so.

It is so sweet of you to make this darling card for your friend's grandson. I bet he's going to adore it!

Super fun and I love the attention to details like the little dog and the 5 on his t-shirt, which I thought was already there until I read your post that it's a die cut.

The image is perfect for a boy celebrating his birthday and it's coloured nice and bright... its brilliant x

OMGosh Carol, this is an adorable birthday card for a little boy! I love the boy image with his skateboard, the little puppy is the perfect addition and having the age on his shirt is perfect. I will have to try and remember to put a piece of pattern paper diagonal like that, I love that look! I bet this little guy loved this card, I know I do! Hugs, Brenda
