While trying to use my leftover bits of dsp, I decided to make a background of 1" squares for this card. Honestly, I'm pathetic in the way I hang onto little bits of pretty designer paper! LOL I just glued them onto a scrap piece of white, and then die-cut it with a Lil Inker stitched rectangle die, also cutting the white card base with a larger rectangle die. The poinsettia and large leaf were done with Spellbinder dies in Cherry Cobbler with a gemstone embellishment in the center. The sentiment is a pre-printed one from Simon Says Stamp. I used an old SU! scalloped border punch for the panel underneath the flower.
I'll enter this into the September Rudolph Days challenge - make a Christmas card
Thanks for the visit and I wish you all a wonderful day!

This is gorgeous, it was worth saving every snippet Carol!
Beautiful poinsettia and great background using scraps-I had to have a drastic clear out some of the scraps I kept were just ridiculous!

Hanging on to scraps is not pathetic at all! I do the same thing! LOL I really REALLY love this beautiful Christmas card, Carol! All those little snippets of paper shine beautifully! I love the quilted look! And that gorgeous poinsettia is still a favorite of mine! (I really need to pull it out and use it again!) I also love the heat embossed sentiments that you used here....it really stands out! Wonderful card, my friend! TFS and have a great day....even if it is raining!
Very beautiful. xx
It looks wonderful and a great use of snippets too.
This is a beautiful card and using up scraps is therapeutic and a great recycle idea. I save all those little pieces too and sometimes actually use them so this is wonderful inspiration to me.
Well I have to say that you are NOT along with the way you hang onto little bits of papers...I do too, so we can be pathetic together I guess!! LOL! Your card turned out amazing with all of those bits of scraps to make a lovely background with that pretty poinsettia! Nicely done!
