Birthday Butterfly

I have quite a few packs of long-retired SU! designer papers in my stash that I'm trying to use up. The pieces in this pack were too small to make a card, so I cut them into strips and made a herringbone panel. I love the soft colors of pink and brown together and just used what matching pieces of cardstock I could find. The border was done with a Martha Stewart doily punch, adding tiny pink gemstones on each scallop. The butterfly was die-cut in both colors, adding more gemstones on the body. The sentiment is a pre-printed one from SSS and I added a tiny pink twine bow beneath. The recipient has already received this, so I'll share it with the Snippets Playground #402 which is in memory of Ruby.

Thanks for stopping by and make it a great Monday!

Carol

Brown and pink are a lovely combination, I love the half herringbone patterned as a pretty background for the butterfly. The sentiment is fun and a twine bow in pink, perfect :) x

Wow! Such marvellous card! It's so classy!!! You always blow me away with your herringbone panels! Great use of your snippets! And the design looks very sweet and elegant with this so feminine colours combo, the big butterfly and the border, all enhanced with pearls!! Also the cute bow adds a feminine touch! A super card, I'm sure you will be in the top pics at Di's challenge! :D
Have a lovely week, dear friend! Take care and be strong!
