I pulled out a long-neglected but favorite stamp from I.O. to make this Christmas card. My husband and I owned horses many years ago and I've always been fond of them which is why I like this stamp so much. I colored the horses with Tombow markers and colored pencils, adding some red Copic colors to those Santa hats and liquid applique for the fur. The sentiment is by Tim Holtz. A friend of ours recently bought his first home and his neighbor has 2 horses that come to the fence to welcome him home from work every day. He always has a carrot for each of them which may be why they greet him at the fence, but I thought this would be a perfect Christmas card for him!
I'm sharing this with the following challenges:

Thanks for stopping by and have a fantastic day!

Fabulous card Carol, beautiful horses and your coloring is fabulous! It's been many many years since I rode a horse, since COVID we take a weekly ride in the country and I like seeing the beautiful horses and the farmland.

This is a great image Carol, and you made a beautiful card using.
After all the years I've known you ...How did I not know that you had horses? How neat!
Beautiful horses and I love they are all decked out in their Santa hats. This is such a great card design.
I think this a beautiful card with so much thought gone into the creation. It's like a card you'd buy from a shop with just five in a box, it really is wonderful. A lovely cosy image and I really like the sentiment done in red.
Thank you for your kind words on my latest card, it was a sad card to make but I wanted it to be about new wishes :) x
A very sweet image of the horses colored beautifully!! Love the Santa hats, so cute!! And, a wonderful story about your neighbor having carrots for the horses!! I’m sure he’ll love the card!!
Beautiful Christmas card, Carol! And I enjoyed the story about the friend feeding those horses carrots everyday! I never knew you had horses! What a fabulous card! I have this stamp and I am going to make it for my granddaughter for Christmas. She loves horses and has a lease on a horse since she was about 7, It is a half-hour drive away and she goes out there 5 times a week.
I love the way you coloured them, Carol.
Thanks for taking part in the Rudolph Days Challenge.
Hi Carol,
Happy Rudolf Days.
Oh I love this stamped image it's beautifully coloured too.
A great design for batch making I think.
My Grandchildren used to have horses and ride in horse events when they were younger but as they grew up they didn't want to do it any more.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.
