Hello

Hello and happy Wednesday! The sun came out this morning after a week of dreary, cloudy days so I was finally able to get a photo of this card.

I began with shades of red and grey. I used a piece of dsp from a wedding stack that has silver-embossed circles and dots, so I die-cut it with a Lil Inker stitched rectangle. The flourish stem was die-cut with an old Cheery Lynn  die that I snipped into 3 pieces. The flowers are from Hero arts, stamped on red with black and fussy cut, while the centers were cut with a small circle punch from dark grey polka dot dsp. I curled the flower petals around a pencil, and squished a pencil eraser into the flower centers to give them a bit of dimension, then popped the flowers up on foam dots. The sentiment was done with a TE Hello die 3 times in white and layered for a bit of dimension. The finishing touch was to add 3 tiny clear gemstones for a little sparkle.

I'm sharing this with the following challenges:

Just Us Girls Challenge Word Week #565 - "Hello"

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you're all able to enjoy some sunshine today too!

Carol

Oh wow!!! This is a masterpiece, in my opinion!!! Such fabulous, elegant, feminine and vibrant card! Any detail is a joy for the eyes and those red flowers are really so inspiring!! LOVE the blak ink on red and the fabulous polka centres, such beautiful dimension you achieved modelling with the pencil!!! The Dsp is really classy and those stems look just perfect to connect all!! Love also the happy font of the sentiment and the tiny sparkling gems! The perfection!! Pinned immediately! :D
Big hugs and good thoughts across the miles!

This came out so well and so glad the sun came out so you could get your picture in time too! I need to remember that technique of wrapping the petals to get dimension. It makes all the difference in the world. Thanks for the reminder. Love the designer paper too! Thanks for sharing your talents with us at Just Us Girls and Color Hues!

Beautiful card Carol! I love the color combo, the red just pops off the gray. That is a pretty background paper and I always love when you use the Cheery Lynn flourish die=it's my favorite die you use I think! lol Love how you did the flower too, the polka dot centers look so nice on the red flower-love that. Love the added sparkle too, just a touch was all it needed. Yes, I hear you about roosters, some of them can be nasty as can a turkey. My sister friend had a turkey chase her into her car at her house. Another you tuber had a rooster that kept getting after him, he was ready to put him in the pot! lol When I made that box, I was thinking about how these birds can get. lol But mostly because she has chicken decor in her living/kitchen area. lol Hugs, Brenda
