Hello everyone, thanks for stopping by today. I made time to play along with the Twofer challenge #32 this month which is "silhouettes" and here are my twofer cards - created with a Stencil Girl Mylar stencil.
For this card, I used the Stencil Girl Mylar stencil on black, sponging on some Platinum Planet ink for a really cool look. If only my photo could capture that metallic shine, but unfortunately it didn't. The clock is a die from I.O. and I cut the fancy parts with GinaK Blue Raspberry card stock. The hands on the clock were cut from gold mirror card. The borders were done with a SU! scalloped edge punch and the sentiment stamp was purchased from a local store that makes their own stamps. The card base is a soft kraft color and the clock and borders were done with vanilla cardstock.
Next up is a bright birthday card with Melon Mambo as the base color. I sponged a piece of white card with the same stencil, covering the entire card with barn door, marmalade and fossilized amber distress inks. The framed scalloped border is a die from Gina Marie Designs and the butterfly die was a gift from a friend with no mfr. name. The birthday sentiment came from a SSS stamp set and I added a couple of Nuvo black droplets for fun.
I was having so much fun with this stencil, I created a third card. This time I sponged white craft ink through the stencil on a piece of black cardstock and used a MFT notched border die-cut along one edge. The HUGS is a die from Pink & Main, and the rest of the sentiment came from a SNSS stamp set, broken up and heat-embossed with white ep on some die-cut MFT labels. I seldom sit down to make many cards anymore, but this stencil was so much fun I didn't want to put it down, so this time you get a three-fer instead of a twofer :)
Thanks for stopping by and I wish you the best possible day!
Carol

Hi Carol, glad to see three cards in one post from you! You have been so busy enjoying that beautiful stencil!:D The first one seems to me just perfect for a masculine recipient, and the others for a female. I can't see very well the platinum ink, but I'm sure that it has a really cool effect! :) Love the one with the butterfly, it's my fav with its bold colours!
Hugs and have a lovely day!!
Love the stencil and you created three beautiful but very different cards-love them all

Fabulous trip of cards, like the stencil you used, I see why you got on a roll! Great cards to have in your stash!
I like that stencil, it works so well on both cards although the inking on the first would make a cool spooky backdrop. Pretty blending on the panel for the butterfly... two very different looking cards so I'd say great job for the challenge x
All are lovely but I really like how you halved the space with the two card stocks Good job ..........Lis
Great job with that stencil. Your are reminding to get out my stencils. I always forget that I have them. (that must mean I have to much stuff! Smile!)
Your cards are FABULOUS Carol and I can see why you had so much fun playing with that stencil...SO cool! I love the different looks you got with all 3 cards too...the 1st and 3rd look more graphic to me and the 2nd card is just plain FUN with all the color! A challenge well done!! Thanks for sharing these beauties with us at The Twofer Challenge!! :0)
Wonderful card designs.
A wonderful Threefer, Carol, and your Twofer designs are so well done! I love that stencil, which is so effective both as a panel in black and a full background in white! I love the decorative clock and sediment on your first design and the beautifully blended and vibrant melon mambo butterfly is a festive way to celebrate a birthday on your second design! Thank you so much for playing in Twofer Card Challenge #32! Keep well! (Am I losing it or did you change your blog design recently?) Hugs, Darnell

Wow! All of these creations turned out brilliant! I love the use of your stencil in different ways and it looks like something versatile that you could use for many occasions too! You've really nailed each and every design here! Love them all! HUGS

How sweet! I love both of your silhouette cards and they are so beautifully designed! x0
Carol your stenciled cards are showing off that fab silhouette. Loving the graphic black and silver along with your sunny colorful shades in orange and yellow. Thanks for playing along with us at Twofer Card Challenge #32.
Wow, your Twofers are so cool Carol! I keep studying that background stencil and just can't understand it, but I know it is really cool looking. lol I love the clock card, the black and Platinum Planet ink (which sounds really cool in itself!) look so cool together, the white with the black, gray and platinum really pops. Boy isn't that sentiment so true in these times! Same when you lose a loved one, you just take it one day at a time and sometimes one minute at a time! Love your second card too, the colors are so beautiful and vibrant and just so cheery, again that background is so cool, it is definitely a silhouette background and I am just loving it! The butterfly is just perfect on this one. Oh two, you overachiever! lol A threefer?!! Love this one too, again that white just pops with those colors. I think you did indeed have a ton of fun with this stencil! I'm so glad!!! Hugs, Brenda
