Z-fold Anniversary Card

My neighbors and friends celebrated their 37th wedding anniversary recently, and this is the card I gave them (along with a home-made cheesecake). I have hoarded this SU! retired Haiku dsp for much too long and forced myself to use a few snippets to make this card. The sentiment on the front was die cut several times and coated with glossy accents for some sparkle, and I dotted the coral dsp with liquid Nuvo drops to add more sparkle. The inside was done with some I.O. die-cut numbers, placed inside of a die-cut stitched heart. The sentiment is from SU!. I hope they enjoyed the card because it wasn't even mentioned amid the raves for the cheesecake LOL

I'll enter this into the Tuesday Throwdown Challenge #465 - anything goes

I wanted to offer an apology to those who commented on the previous post and didn't get their comments published. I had a spammer leave a very long advertisement, and I hit delete, but apparently I was hitting the delete button for the comment below it, as the spam comment kept showing again and again. I finally realized after 3 or 4 showings of that comment, that I was  clicking on the delete icon for the comments below it instead of deleting the actual spam comment. I'm sorry - the only excuse I have is that I'm old and had a serious senior moment, so I'm very sorry. I will be more careful next time, but I wish these spammers would just get a life and leave me alone. Not only here, but on the telephone in my house! It's endless annoying harassment on a daily basis.

Anyway, thanks for stopping by and have yourself a fantastic day!

Carol

Lovely card and I really like the way it opens to reveal the years in a heart, that's a nice personal touch and one I'm sure was appreciated as much as the cheesecake - yum! I dislike spammers, what is the point and my patience is wearing very thin at present... gosh why can't everything just be normal not the new normal, the old normal... meh, have yourself a fantastic day too x

this is a really lovely card for your neigbors. I bed they really loved it. And you know that I love fancy folding, especially the Z fold card!

Sorry you had spam problems, and I know what you mean about the annoying phone calls. I wish those people could find a way to use that time doing something good instead. What a much nicer world it would be.

By the way, we go a new ISP today. And so far, we are delighted with the results. And so glad we made the change.

Carol, this is amazing! I don't know if I could make one of these - too many folds! But I recognize the Stampin Up paper! This is great! Xox0

This is so beautiful Carol, I am sure the recipient appreciate it even if they were overwhelmed by the cheesecake as I am sure I would have been! Yummy!

This is a great design of folds and paper. I see why you hoarded that paper, it is gorgeous. That was nice of you to make them a cheesecake along with the card. After they are full, they still have the card to enjoy! I agree about the comments and phone calls. They are so annoying and now I keep getting political calls all day long. It wears you out.

Wow, what a beautiful card Carol, that paper is just gorgeous! I haven't made one of these types of cards yet, but I so love them. They are so fun and give such an impact to the recipient. Lucky neighbors to get a card AND a cheesecake! Sounds so yummy!!!! I have to laugh, only because I have done the same thing. Hit the delete button on the wrong comment. These spammers are a pita for sure, one reason why I just unplugged my home phone. I just couldn't take it anymore. I know not everyone can do that, I probably shouldn't either, but it is what it is. I have my cell phone and that is what I'm using now. Hugs, Brenda

Beautiful card and papers love the fold too even if it was overshadowed by your cheescake!Have just left another comment on the card below but must admit I have deleted comments this way too-I mean what are they hoping to achieve? and as for the telephone spam we have an automated one everyday threatening to suspend my amazon account-good luck with that one because I don't have an amazon account!!!

This is such a cool z-fold design, Carol, and I can see why you hoarded that DSP! It's lovely and I'm proud of you for using it! Your neighbors must love being kind to you for what they get in return!🥰

I'm sorry you got spammed on the blog. Hate those creeps. As for the phone, you really should sign up for nomorobo.com. It's free and it WORKS! It takes a little time, but not long. At first, they catch the spammers and cut them off after only one ring, then after a few months the spammers just give up. We've been using them about three years and I only get maybe one call a week!! Thinking of you this week! Hugs, Darnell

Hi Carol

A really lovely card .. .. .. I do like this style of card fold as it gives us chance to use up some of the smaller pieces of paper and card we accumulate and find impossible to part with LOL!!.

Love Jules xx
