Thanksgiving Pumpkins

Today I have a card for Thanksgiving. I recently saw this card by Janice using the older SU! oval punches to make pumpkins and it inspired me to pull out my punches and do the same thing! (Thanks for letting me know it was your card Janice) The background was done with a Lawn Fawn stitched cloud die, while the piece of mesh was die-cut and embossed with gold ep. The leaves were die cut from scraps of green and the stems, ferns and swirls where all from my snippets box. The pumpkins were done with bits of designer paper and sponged around the edges. I added a curly cue on top of the largest pumpkin by shredding the edge off some green card stock, then winding it around a knitting needle to give it some curl. The sentiment was done on a piece of brown metallic card stock and was embossed with a SU! Teeny Tiny Wishes sentiment stamp and some gold ep.

I'll enter this into the Paper Players PP506 challenge using the tic-tac-toe grid. I used the top row straight across.

We are having an exceptionally beautiful first day of September today with cool breezes and comfortable temperatures. After the humid summer, I'm ready for this cooler comfy weather and love having the windows open and gentle breezes blowing through the house! YES!

Here's wishing you a beautiful day too where you live! Thanks for stopping by!

Think it might have been me?? I recently had a card with Punch made pumpkins?! Anyway your card is absolutely adorable! Love the way you added leaves and the curl to the top of your pumpkin. Love using the mesh pieces they add such great texture to the cards. The cooler temps are nice! Windows open and AC off for the first time in months!!

So beautiful, Carol! I recently seen too someone used the oval punches for a pumpkin....not sure who though but it was great to see! I have not made a pumpkin like that in years! This is gorgeous with that background and I like that you curled the paper to look like a vine! Perfect in every way & great job on the challenge, too! I am lovin the weather, too! I love your pumpkins made from ovals and the great textures on this card. I was just outside this morning wondering when it would be time to put some pumpkins and fall decor out. Hope you have a good day!

I made my first fall card eons ago with punched pumpkins like that and it's still a great way to do it. All the die cut leaves and swirls look fabulous as does that terrific cover die background! Thanks for sharing with us at The Paper Players this week!

This card is amazing Carol! I love all the attention to the little details you did. So much to see on this card and all layered up perfectly. I love that "mesh" looking die cut, the ferns and leaves are perfect as of course are those adorable pumpkins. The background looks like wind blowing swirling around! Love that! It was nice having a low temp, low humidity day! Nice breezes blowing through the house always lifts my spirits. But....now back to the AC as the humidity and dew points came back up. But tomorrow I think is supposed to be comfortable, so will see! Hugs, Brenda
