Our Birthdays

Today my husband and I are celebrating our same-day birthdays and I made this card for him with a digi image that could be us 😁. I found it in my digi files yesterday and printed it out, adding lots of stickles to represent candles on the cake. It was a quick and easy card to make, and I hope it brings him a chuckle or two. I used stitched square dies and a rectangle stitched die, along with Gina Marie Designs Venetian dies for the sentiment panel. The sentiment is from a SNSS stamp set that I've had for probably 8-10 years. The banner was a snippet of Berry Burst, embossed with a CB birthday ef, and the enamel dots are from T.E. The chevron dsp is from DCWV.

I'm going to share this with the Retro Rubber Challenge #144 which is anything goes, but must use a stamp more than one year old.

Thanks to everyone for all the fun and fabulous birthday cards you sent our way - we are most grateful and delighted with each and every one we open! Thanks too for the get well cards for my husband Butch - he's improving a little more every day and able to smile again.

Have a fantastic weekend and thanks for stopping by!

Carol

That is a great image and I love the stickles you added to make so many candles. Will you use that many candles on your actual cake!? Hope you both have a wonderful birthday, and a great year ahead!

Really cute card! I'm sure that Butch loved his card. Your card is posted on my blog which the reason why it is late...at this point I should probably just go and hang it on your door knob...smile!

Hope you had a great birthday!

I saw this wonderful post and riot of a card on Friday and meant to make a timely comment, Carol, but then, you know, I blinked and it became Sunday night! I'm dying to make a conversation balloon over Butch's head on the card! (Nowadays they call that a meme, but I've been doing it with family photos for years, lol!) I'm so glad to hear hubby is feeling better and able to smile and I hope that has continued through the weekend! Big hugs! Darnell

Oh, I didn't realize that Butch had a birthday on the same day! I feels so bad that I didn't send him a card too. Will have to make a note of that for next year. Please tell Butch Happy Birthday from me!!! This card is adorable! It's so cute and perfect for Butch, it makes me smile so I hope it made him smile too. You did a great job as usual. Happy Birthday to you both once again!!! I hope Butch is feeling much more like himself now. Big hugs, Brenda

Your card is super cute with that image and how perfect for the occasion too! LOL!! If I remember to write down birthdays for friends, I would be able to send them out on time...but knowing me, probably not then either! LOL! Yep, that's a card maker for ya!
