I made this card for a sketch challenge a while ago and once again, the challenge closed before I got the card made and posted. I'm consistently doing that :)
I sponged a panel with Tumbled Glass distress ink using some Taylored Expression stencils to create soft clouds. I sponged another piece of cardstock with some yellow and orange inks, then die-cut the stitched circle using a MFT die, and also cut a little sun with a Lawn Fawn die. I added some orange stickles to the sun, adding a smaller die-cut circle to the center and covering it with yellow stickles. The sentiment is by Sweet 'n Sassy from their "Your Friendship" stamp set (2009) while the birds were stamped with another Sweet 'n Sassy stamp set called "Serene Silhouettes" also from 2009.

Beautiful CAS card love the textured sun and three birds-middle of Summer here-torrential rain,hail,thunder,lightening and freezing-actually had the heating on last two days!!!

Wow a beautiful sparkly sunshine, I love how its matted onto the circle die then chopped off the edge. It certainly is setting the sky on fire. Great placement with the birds,they look natural. I do hope you're keeping well x

This is such an uplifting card with that beautiful sun. I love the soft sky and clouds and the birds are a great addition. That's why I do a challenge that is good for a month. Sometimes it takes me that long to make the card!
I can look out the window today and see sun - or just look at your beautiful card and see it! So pretty.

What a great card for a special person! We all have someone in our lives who is our sunshine. Often a family member but it can be a really good friend as well. This is a very versatile card, Carol.

I love this card! On the morning my Dad passed away, Shawn made me breakfast in bed and he came in with "You are my sunshine" playing on his phone. I cried. It now will carry a bigger meaning to me. Great card, Carol!! :)
