Masculine Birthday

I recently had a play with some Nuvo Shimmer powder in Blue Blitz color on a piece of water color paper. I added a few touches of silver mixative just for fun. Once it dried, I embossed it with an older Cuttlebug embossing folder, then took a Tombow dark blue marker and colored the embossed lines to make them stand out. I used a brand new GMD set of Venetian Label dies for the sentiment panel, and added a SNSS stamped sentiment along with 4 silver brads. It's all on a Navy card base and ready for mailing.

I'm sharing this with the following challenges:

Seize the Birthday #193 - a/g with a topping of watercoloring

NBUS Challenge #15 - never before used schtuff (Venetian Label Dies)

Thanks for the visit and I wish you the best possible Monday!

Carol

I love the look of this almost denim blue card with the splashes of silver. Brilliant idea to trace the embossed lines with a blue pen, its subtle but makes such a difference to the embossing x

Oh Carol, I am loving this masculine card! That blue shimmer stuff you used is so pretty, love that you added silver in the mix too. I guess I never thought about embossing watercolor paper, but it probably embossing well from the looks of it. I love that you took a darker blue marker to make the lines show up better. That just really sets it off! Love the new die set shape for the sentiment too. Hugs, Brenda

You sure have a steady hand to color all those lines, Carol! It really does add a ton of dementia to an already gorgeous blue and silver textured background! Another great design that can be used for any age and any gender! Keep well and thank you for sharing again with everyone at NBUS! Hugs, Darnell
