June Rudolph Days

I recently pulled out this older Tim Holtz holly branch die and made my Christmas card for the June Rudolph Days. I created the background with a SU! stencil and some antique linen distress ink before placing the holly branch on it. The leaves and berries were coated with Glossy Accents and sprinkled lightly with glitter while wet. I knew I had a bottle of Crackle Glossy Accents somewhere but couldn't find it, so I settled for using glitter. As luck would have it, as soon as I finished the card, I found that bottle of Crackle Glossy accents! LOL While I discovered that missing bottle, I also found an old bottle of red "smooch." Does anyone remember that? I used it to add a few touches of red here and there for the final touch.

I'm entering this into the June Rudolph Days challenge.

Thanks for stopping by and do have yourself a good one!

Carol

Hi Carol,
Happy Rudolf Days.
What a very lovely card and such a great design.
Love your stencillied brick background and the holly on the branch.
Isn't it funny how that always happens when you are looking for something.
Still the glitter is lovely and I didn't know about cracle glossy accents so thank you for mentioning it may have to buy some.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

Oh my this is so pretty! What a stunning die and I love how you've added some shimmer over it too! Reminds me that I have some Tim Holtz items I haven't used at all! Thanks for the inspiration my friend! :)

Hello Carol.
This is a really lovely card. The stenciled background looks great but it is the holly leaf and berries that I love the most. This is a fabby die set! Made even better by that Smooch... Yes, I do remember it.

Oh your holly leaves and berries are all frosty and have a lovely cold Winter feeling. I like the brick background as an anchor for your Christmas foliage... Christmas seems to be sneaking up rather quickly. Gorgeous card x

This is a fabulous Rudy card Carol! I am loving the holly leaves and berries with the sparkle. The brick background is perfect. I do remember "smooch" although I never owned any of it. That little bit is perfect. Well done! Hugs, Brenda
