I'm Still Here!

I finished this 1000-pc puzzle yesterday afternoon and tried to take a good picture of it this morning, but even standing on a stool I couldn't get the entire puzzle in a photo. I took a photo of the box so you can see all the animals, critters, and birds clearly. Click the photo to enlarge it. It was not an easy puzzle to do but it kept me occupied and in a state of peace and serenity while working on it.

I hope one day soon to get back to card making - it just hasn't happened yet, but thanks for being patient with me. I think quite a few of us are going through this for unknown reasons - it's like my life has suddenly been stifled and I can't seem to adapt to it as well as I thought I could. We're OK, just trying to find a place where we can breathe without being suffocated with constant news and propaganda.
I hope you're all well and enjoying life and I really appreciate your taking time to stop by. Have a good day and take care of one another.
I will be back soon, promise 😀

You are doing so well on these puzzles, Carol. I can't imagine putting 1,000 pieces together. You really have a good eye and lots of patience. I have one spread out on the dining room table of 500 pieces and I can only work on it a few minutes at a time. I have to stand to see it well and days go by that I don't touch it. I must not be a puzzle person but I'm so impressed with your skill. Your mojo will come back in time.

I am totally with you on the "life" issues....we just turn off the TV, don't go on Facebook and get on with things, but there is a huge sense of sadness. I just keep remembering that God is STILL in control and there is a reason behind all of this! Take a deep breath! I'll be praying for you! And doing puzzles like this one, which is AMAZING, is a good way to keep your mind occupied!
Hugs!

Oh yes, I love it! SO many animals and yes, I can see it was not an easy one either. Just looking at all the flowers and trying to figure out what goes where would be hard. Love the puzzle though.

I hear you on the card making. Things I've been posting were pre-scheduled and I just can't get in the mood for it either. I even went so far as to pick up a cross stitch quilt block kit that I've had forever and am determined to finish it. I call it my quarantine stitch quilt. I figure I'll be 108 by the time it's done......Sigh!...and it's SOOOOO boring!

WOW! That is a wonderful scene to build up Carol, I see that you would have to concentrate on this. We all have a lack of creativity sometimes and do you know - it's OK to be like that. We can get peace with other things, as you have shown.
Keep safe and well

Hello... nice to see you pop up on my blog feed. I'm glad you're both ok. That's a cracking jigsaw with all the beautiful flora and fauna... what's next 2,000? lol. I'm still struggling but plodding along, fed up of conflicting rules/advise and the media. Take care and stay safe and sane x

That looks like a lovely and interesting puzzle to do. Motivation is a strange thing - it seems to come and go and you aren't the only one I've heard say they can't settle to making cards or whatever it is they normally do for a hobby.

You are not alone in not making cards. I tended to catch up on my sewing...I have been crosstitching and now trying to finish a Blackwork piece.
Love that jigsaw, congrats on completing it.
Take care, stay safe.

You are a puzzle pro! And, that's what I tell my husband, too. He seems to have more patience for it that what I do. A wonderful scene with all the critters! Looks like a wonderful puzzle to put together!

Girl, you are as adept at puzzle-making as you are at card making! I'm pretty sure it wasn't very long ago that you said you were going to start a 1K puzzle and here you are done already! I find doing puzzles so therapeutic, too, and I can see this one is a beauty! Just turn OFF any news channel. There's lots of other stuff to watch that's fun and takes your mind off the craziness! We'll be here when you get back to crafting, which I know you love so much!! Hugs, Darnell

A gorgeous puzzle Carol, such a beautiful scene - it does look quite difficult, lots of similar colours.
I think lots of people are finding it difficult to settle to their usual activities - just concentrate on what makes you happy.

So glad to see a post from you, your puzzle is fabulous and good therapy in these times, we need to do whatever works. I've heard that the stores are sold out of jigsaw puzzles, very popular now, more than ever. Hugs, Donna

Love the puzzle, Carol! 1000 piece ones are tough but when they are done don't you feel proud?! I found out yesterday afternoon that my dad passed Sunday morning. I wasn't important to inform I guess. I will be pulling out a puzzle this afternoon and starting one to occupy my mind. This has been incredibly tough, especially at a distance and not by my choice either. For now I need to pull my chin up and find my happiness. TFS your puzzle...I hope you have more to do? My tv has been off as well because the news is just depressing and I just think watching makes me feel worse. Hugs to you!

Wow! Great job with this puzzle! The "grass" part of the puzzle would have driven me crazy. too many similar colors. I haven't made cards lately either which I'm sure you noticed!

oh wow, this is stunning, you must have a lot of patience to finish such a large puzzle. I understand your not being able to put your mind to cardmaking, I struggled a lot at the beginning of this. It wasn't until I started to create with a group of creative cardmakers online over video that started to enjoy the process again. I hope you can regain your love of cardmaking again, in the meantime enjoy your puzzles!

This is amazing! What patience you must have!

Good to hear that you are well. Another blog friend has recently posted that she and her husband had covid. He is still in hospital, in fact!

Whenever anyone is away from their blog for an extended period now, I think we all worry. Virtual friends are always on our minds too!

Rules have relaxed very slightly here but we keep to the original ones as we are both in the danger grouping. Al has diabetes and I carry far too much weight.

The garden is giving me a way to spend some peaceful time. And I love to just sit out with my coffee and enjoy the look of the blooms. Al has a small paving stone project that he started today so I am having an indoor day and perhaps getting more cards made!

Take care, Carol.

Same here!! Thought i was "dealing" fairly well with everything that's been going on but lately it's like I've just had enough or something! Easily flustered and agitated! LOL Time to get back to normal!!
