Sunflower Thank-You Card

I was in need of a thank you card and used this SSS Sunflower Stem die to create one. I used 2 different colored pieces of green card stock, along with some yellow Daffodil card stock and matching striped designer paper. I cut the flower center with a snippet of rust colored card stock, then dotted it with Copics and covered it with glossy accents. The sentiment was done with a very old Verve stamp I've had for years. It's a single stamp that was a gift with a stamp set I bought from Verve probably 8-10 years ago. I heat-embossed it with white ep on a snippet of black that was cut with a SU! square pillow box framelit die and I embellished it with negative bits from a SSS pinpoint border die that look like little cross stitches. The striped dsp was die-cut with a Lil Inker stitched rectangle die.

I'm entering this into the following challenges:

Retro Rubber challenge #127 - use the following tic-tac-toe grid

RRCB 127

I chose the diagonal line from the top left using green, die cut and nature.

Thanks for stopping by and it's always nice to have you visit. Thanks too for taking the time to leave a comment to let me know you were here. Have a fabulous day!

Carol

What a great card! It is certainly professional looking, it has a great stitch edge, and the little punch you used for the pretty sentiment has such cute corners. The flower looks great too. I hope you are proud of this one! Have a great day! It is sunny but was really cold when I was out this morning!

What a pretty Thank you card! Love how you 2 toned the leaves and added the glossy accents to the flower center. It really makes it pop! I find myself making more and more cards with mainly die cuts. They are just so much fun to play around with.

Sunflowers are the happiest flowers and this card makes me happy. That's a pretty rust shiny center and I like the striped pattern paper. Those little x's under the sentiment add a bit of pizazz to the card.

Such pretty thank you card, with your inlay and the texture of the flower centre!! Love the olive outline, it matches perfectly the yellow and the green! You founded the perfect matching patterned paper, too :) and that faux cross stitching made with leftover is a clever touch! Another very professional card, well done!!
