36th Anniversary Card

I've been hoarding 2 sheets of Rose Red card stock and have finally decided to let go and use it! LOL I also used this pretty piece of Anna Griffin dsp that's been stashed away for years as well. I die-cut the Gina Marie Designs rose twice, from the Rose Red card and dsp, and inlaid the dsp negatives into the rose. The leaves were snippets of green that were folded in half and run through a paper crimper, then fussy cut to shapes of leaves. The 36 was done with I.O. number dies and the embossed panel was done with a SU! Fancy Fan ef. For the final touch I added some sparkly Nuvo drops randomly.

Today is the 36th anniversary of my dear friends and neighbors so this will be delivered later today.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope your day is a good one for you.

Carol

This is a beautiful combination of papers! So glad you used these. The rose paper is perfect for the background and the paper piecing of the flower. The leaves look so nice with the corrugation, too.

Isn't it funny how we hold on to craft products like paper, cardstock etc, we love it so much we don't want to use it!! Its just perfect for this card, love the colour with the rose die-cut and the patterned paper is a wonderful partner to it. The leaves have such wonderful texture and the dark colour for the numbers really make them stand out. I'm so very glad you shared this with us at The Flower Challenge!!
