Birthday Dragonfly

I bought a MFT Sweet Celebration paper pad some time ago and used most of the sheets in it, but still have quite a few random snippets left, so rather than waste them, I put them all together to make this birthday card.
The dragonfly was done with a die from Gina Marie Designs and some white card stock. It took some time to get the colors on this, but I used Copics, glaze pens, and wink of stella before I broke out the stickles to add some defined colors overall. The stitched oval was done with a Gina Marie Designs die and I added a few gemstones for antennae. The dark blue border was done with a MFT notched border die, and I used the positive on one side and the negative on the opposite side. The birthday sentiment is from SNSS and I hand cut the fishtail banner with a hexagon punch.

I'm entering this card into the following challenges:

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a fabulous day!

Brilliant card Carol! I haven't counted but I think we've got at least three dragonfly cards in the Playground this time - must be the time of year! I love that fresh stripey paper as well! A great foil for the beautiful die cut dragonfly.

I do like how you've captured the beautiful blues and greens of a dragonfly and then combined it with all the happy colours of the patterned paper, nice job and great way of using up those snippets x

Sorry, I'm very late with visits to my blog friends. I'm very busy.
I have a lot to do with the veggie garden, helping my mom and also have to do some works for the school before it starts again, because I have had important assignments from the director. Argh! :((( I want back my holidays! :(
Don't waste nothing!! :D This card looks amazing with the lovely snippets you put together!!! The dragonfly is just stunning, it seems made from lace!!! You coloured it so well!!
