Pink Christmas Card

Hello and happy Monday! Don't faint - I finally made another Christmas card! I won this MB Dazzling Snowflake die in a previous Snippets Playground challenge and have seldom used it because it's so fiddly with such tiny bits to replace. I'm determined this year to use more of my stash instead of buying new, so here it is! I replaced most of the pink bits with sparkly silver card stock, but some were just too tiny to handle, so for those, I added some pink Nuvo drops instead. The sentiment is also a MB die that I won in a previous Rudolph Day Challenge.

I'm entering this into the February Rudolph Day Challenge which is always a Christmas theme

Also entering it into the MLCCB #7 - February Anything Christmas Goes challenge

Thanks for stopping by, and the world could sure use a lot more peace - even in February. Have yourself a great day!

Tipping my hat to you Carol for inlaying so much of the snowflake and it was worth it bc it's beautiful especially in pink and silver, gorgeous choice of colours. The Nuvo drops work perfectly as a substitute for inlaying the fiddly bits x

WOW, those little pieces look very tedious but looks amazing! Love the pink, white & silver color combo on your card, Carol! This is a real beauty and one that i'm sure took some time to get all those little pieces into place! Well done! Have a great day! :)

This is gorgeous and sparkly. Oh my, the patience involved in this card, Carol. I decided to use my stash instead of buying new things. That lasted through January! I hope you do better. That was a great idea to use the Nuvo drops to replace the teeny bits with.

Beautiful card, Carol, I love the pink with the silver. It was a real labour of love inlaying all those little pieces and so worth it for the final result. I have die very similar to this I've never had the patience to inlay it, I've just put the silver card behind the die cut so it shows through. xx

Gorgeous Christmas card and beautiful snowflake --can't believe you inlaid all those tiny pieces-worth the effort though!

Hi Carol,
oh my word that was a labour of love putting all those fiddly little bits back in that wonderful snowflake.
The result is very beautiful and gorgeous.
Love it.
Thank you for joining the Rudolf Challenge.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L. DT

A beautiful card Carol, it certainly does look rather fiddly but well worth the effort, it is very elegant.

A really lovely card Carol, love the non-traditional colours. I have this die and have used it a lot but if you want an easier way of using it just cut the die out of whatever colour card you wish to use then just add a piece of glitter card behind it. I made 150 cards using this method a couple of years ago. Great idea though to use the Nuvo drops though. I am also determined not to buy any new Christmas stuff this year but..... I won't bet my life on it!

I love the inlaid effect and am not usually afraid of the fiddly bits, but I think this die would put me off even with press n seal it is so fine and detailed. What a good idea to use novo drops to replace impossibly small bits. I often lose the tiny bits and end up cutting extra to replace them! xx

Simple-eee lovely Carol. You have done a fabulous job with all the wee bits here.

This a brilliant pink and silver design, Carol! Good idea to use the drops for the itty-bittiest pieces! (Interesting that bittiest isn't underlined as misspelled!)

Have you heard of using Press 'n Seal for die-cutting dies with lots of fiddly bits? Jennifer MacGuire has videos on using it. Hugs, Darnell xxoo

This card is beautiful! The colour choice is lovely but the idea of taking out and replacing all those wee bits with a contrasting colour was brilliant.
It was a lot of work that really paid off.

Thanks for taking part in the February Rudolph Days Challenge.
