Christmas Candle

While in the mood to make some Christmas cards, I pulled out a neglected Christmas candle stamp by SNSS that hasn't seen ink in years. I stamped the image and SU! sentiment, then colored with Copics and added some gold stickles, along with some white and clear wink of stella - which unfortunately does not show up very well in the photo. I used a SB labels 18 die, drawing a fine line around the inside edge with a black marker, and sponging it with Spun Sugar distress ink before removing the die. I popped it up on dimensionals on a piece of red card stock that was embossed with a TE poinsettia die, and added some SU! woven ribbon that has just a hint of gold.
This was easy to make and is flat for mailing, so I may make a few more of this design before I put this stamp away again.

I'm sharing this with the following challenges:

July Rudolph Challenge - which is always Christmas

Thanks for stopping by and make it a great day whatever you do!

Carol, this is so pretty! I just love the line you added to the die. I have a this die set and always want to frame it somehow, but of course, the larger die looks too big, etc. You have the perfect solution and I will try this the next time I use the die. I love the stamp, too! Great Christmas card!

Your Christmas candle image is so pretty and looks great in the die cut. The thin black line gives the mat a framed look and is lovely here.

Thanks for taking part in the belated July Rudolph Challenge.

PS Had a wonderful vacation and we both totally relaxed and had so much fun!!!

Don't even ask me why I came, looked, and left without a comment, last night... duh! This candle is quite lovely, and glad you brought it out from it's hiding spot. Nice work, and keep using your stuff. As Martha says, "It's a good thing".

Oh this is pretty! I have the TE embossing folder and have a sheet or two laying on my desk to use...I like the idea of a poinsettia image on top will have to see what I have that works. I've been in a Fall card making frame of mind but Christmas will be here before you know it!

Glad you remembered having this pretty image, as it's certainly made a lovely card. The red embossing made a great background to show off the die mat with this bright candle. Also like the twin borders you've tucked in behind. Hope today is going ok for you! TFS & Hugs
