Mother's Day Cards

I'm trying to use up my stash of designer papers that just seems to multiply over time, and I was inspired by a card on Pinterest to make some Mother's Day cards. I used snippets of SU! strawberry slush along with a CB swiss dots ef, and 3 different SU! retired punches to make the flower and bitty banners. The sentiment is by Verve and was done with Strawberry Slush ink.

I decided to make a couple more in different colors, so here's the Concord Crush version. I skipped the embossing and used a different sentiment, also from the same Verve stamp set.

And finally, the Crisp Cantaloupe version.

I was happy to be able to use some of these beautiful paper snippets instead of letting them lie in my stash any longer. I wish this was the end of them, but I'll have to live another 50 years to use them all I'm sure! LOL

I'm sharing with these challenges:

Thanks for stopping by and do have a fantastic Wednesday!

Carol

Gorgeous cards Carol! Love the fresh colours and crisp design. At first I could have sworn the designs were very different - just shows what switching colours can do. And, not a hope of ever using up all your snippets - am sure they breed when we're not watching!

Wow Carol, such great use of your snippets!! These monochromatic cards are just stunning, I have never said you have created them only with punches!! The flowers looks so pretty with the centres coordinated to the backgrounds and the cute little banners! Love so much especially the first with the dotty embossed panel and that Crisp Cantaloupe colour in the last one! Fabulous designs!

You have some really pretty Mom's Day cards and each one looks quite different with the different colors. I think my fav would have to be #1 (I like the red shades!) These are perfect to use up your snippets and look like good 'assembly line' cards too, for adding to a stash. Leave off the sentiment, and it could be for any occasion you need, then add the greeting. Good job! TFS & Hugs

What a pretty set of cards, Carol. You can never go wrong with Polka dots. I will never use up all the snippets in this house. When my DD packed for her move, she sent me all her "large" scraps. Ugh! Hard to believe it is almost Mother's Day. I still have my warm fleece jacket hanging on the post near the front door.

These are all lovely Carol. I think it was a great idea to use your snippets and I too could make cards for 50 years and just use snippets or at least VOS supplies.
When I was still working, I used to stockpile cardstock and DP. I scrapbooked a lot in those days and that can plough through the paper.
Now, I mainly make cards with only the odd scrapbook page...so I have a lot of stockpiled paper to use up!
