Pink & Brown Birthday Card

I made this card for a friend and it has been received, so now I can share it with you. I wanted to use some retired SU! dsp papers for this along with some powder pink cardstock. The Hero Arts leaves were stamped with versamark on soft suede cardstock and embossed with white ep, then fussy cut and curled around a pencil. I adhered them with foam dimensionals behind the SU! flower images which were stamped on powder pink cardstock with Versamark, and gold embossed before fussy cutting them. I used a Copic marker to add a touch of darker pink to the flowers. The flower centers were dotted with gold stickles and I added some pink twine to the SNSS gold-embossed sentiment panel.

I'm entering this into the following challenges:

Seize the Birthday - anything goes as long as it's a birthday theme

Thanks for checking in today, I wish you a happy day whatever you're doing :)

Oh my, so beautiful & so elegant. I love this soft color combo that you've selected here, and I would never have thought to use the background design on a card like this. But it works just wonderfully with the swirl patterns of the rectangle strips behind it. You always have just THE right papers, and great work on shaping those pretty flowers. I'm sure your friend was just delighted to open this one. Happy wkend to you both. TFS & Hugs

This is beautiful Carol! I'll have to remember to use gold EP with this set. I love pink and brown as a color combo and I also like it paired with the chicken wire paper.
