Masculine Birthday

Today I'm sharing a birthday card made for a great young man in our neighborhood who always comes by to help us with anything he can. He's very  thoughtful and kind, so I made him a card for his birthday.
I recently won some Repeat Impressions stamps by playing in their challenges HERE and the stamps I'm using for this card were part of the prize. I love this RI beer mug because it's nice and big and makes a bold statement because of it's size. I colored it with Copics and added lots of WOS glitter, then fussy cut it. The foam at the top is another RI stamp that I covered with liquid applique and WOS and fussy cut to place on top of the mug. The papers are snippets of dsp that were on my table, and I added the angle for interest. Since he was born in March, I added a shamrock done with a TE die. The word "Happy" is a die-cut done with an Echo Park Happy Easter die, while the "Birthday" die-cut was done with a Gina Marie Designs die, and I curved it a bit while placing it down just to balance everything.

Speaking of fun, here's the inside of the card - so perfect for an outdoorsman type of guy and a pun on the beer mug on the card front! This is also a RI stamp called "bottoms up" and I used some older scrapbook stickers to add the inside sentiment.

I'm sharing this with the Repeat Impressions Anything Goes Challenge M2818. I didn't have time to play along with all of their weekly challenges in March, but at least I got to play in this one!

Thanks for stopping by and make it a great day whatever you do!

Carol

What a perfect card to celebrate this nice young man's birthday. I'm so glad there are still some young folks who can be considerate of their older neighbors and lend a hand when needed. He is very special, and I'm sure you will make him feel so with this darling card. The mug is cute as can be, but I really like the way you've done the DP...and the inside decorations made me chuckle. Goes perfectly with the front style! It's a good way for you to appreciate his kindness to you & DH. I imagine he thinks ya'll are quite special too. TFS & Hugs
