March Rudolph Day

I went digging through my snippet box and found most of the elements to make this Christmas card for the March Rudolph Day challenge. The gold foil panel was embossed with a Cuttlebug snow globe ef and the trio of MB trees was already assembled with the gold glitter paper, so I decided to put them together. I pulled some papers from a Crate Paper pad and die-cut a snowy hill with Lawn Fawn hillside dies. Whenever I have small green bits leftover, I die-cut holly leaves and toss them into a little Altoid tin. I pulled out two, covered them with green stickles and added red stickles to the 3 "berries" on top. The tiny fawns were cut with Poppy Stamps dies, and I added diamond stickles to the snowy hill border along with a few accents around the bottom of the trees. The sentiment was heat-embossed with gold on a matching strip of the cardbase color and placed between the baby fawns.

It snowed here again yesterday, but quickly melted after dumping about an inch of white stuff early in the day. Winter just isn't letting go easily this year, but hopefully today we'll have more warm sunshine for a while.

Thanks for stopping by and make it a great day!

Carol

Very pretty and sparkly Christmas card! I love your idea for die cutting those pieces for holly leaf embellishments in advance! Have a good day!

Maybe that will be the last snow of the year! I know you're hoping that's the case anyway.

Love this pretty Christmas card and all that shine. Great idea about keeping the extra pieces of holly in the tin too. Pretty, pretty card!

Fabulous card, Carol. The dies are amazing...that wee prancing fawn caught my eye. He looks so sweet frolicking with his buddy.

The gold you introduced looks fab!

Thanks for taking part in the March Rudolph Days Challenge.

How pretty! LOVE that gold embossed panel it really pops. I also like the stickles added to the holly. We had flurries only here yesterday but there is still last weeks snow left! If we hit the 60's like they say that will be gone soon!

Well, this is just pure delight. How cool that you had all the 'makings' and just had to assemble them to create this pretty card. Love the glitz of the gold and it made a wonderful scenic background for those cute little deer! TFS, Hugs & Happy Easter. (I'm behind so will look at your other cards too!)
