Purple Valentine

When I was playing with Distress Oxide Inks and glossy paper recently, I had a large piece left over, so I decided to make a Valentine with purple colors. I die-cut this unbranded heart with white and the water colored paper, then placed the negatives back into the die. It's tedious work, but it's what I enjoy doing. The little white heart in the die needed something, so I added some purple gemstones in a heart shape on top. The sentiment die is from PTI and I die-cut the little heart from the matching paper and added another little purple gemstone to finish it off. The card base is a rich, royal purple color but it appears more burgundy in the photo.

I'm going to enter this into the DCC27 Repeat Impressions challenge - "A Way with Words." I used one word "LOVE" which pretty much says it all on a Valentine.

Thanks for checking in and make it a great Friday!

So lovely, what a great die and love the effect of the inks, as you say the word Love says it all for this card.

Such a pretty card! I've been wanting to do some oxide and glossy paper experiments, but haven't gotten around to it yet! Your card inspires me! I'm so happy you linked this up to the "Way with Words" challenge over at The House That Stamps Built!

What a beautiful card! Looks like a lot of work but so worth it! Would you believe that I don't have any Distress Oxide ink yet? Now I know I need to get some!

I know you love purple! It looks really pretty on this one, and I love the mosaic look to this heart. (I noticed that all the little bits matched just perfectly! Tedious, I should say so). Loved the jewel heart detail, and the sentiment finished off this watercolor DOX just to a fine T. TFS & happy wkend.

This is gorgeous!! That oxide paper you created is beautiful and it looks amazing inlaid back into that die! It must have taken forever, but it was so worth it. I think the purple rhinestones were the perfect addition. Thanks for playing with The House that Stamps Built.
