Masculine Valentine

Today I have another masculine valentine I created after pulling out these long-overlooked golden doilies from my stash. (Here's a version I posted recently using a silver doily with a blue background.) I began by stamping a kraft panel with a SU! wooden background stamp in chocolate chip ink. I die-cut the PTI heart and scalloped banners with red and white, and added a gold heat-embossed love sentiment from Whimsy to the center and called this one done.

Also sharing with the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge which is "anything goes."

Can you believe January is already gone and Valentine's day will be here in 2 weeks? Time really does go too fast it seems.

Thanks for stopping by and make it a great day whatever you do!

This is such a fantastic combo of elements - the masculine wood background, the gold doily and those little hearts! I think it is great!

This is such a pretty card, Carol! I love that Hardwood background and that gorgeous gold doily! I think it's very eye catching and just so pretty! I have a ton of these foil doilies that I picked up at L&L years ago and after seeing this card I might just have to pull them out and use on a card for my sweetie for Valentines Day! Thank you for always being SO inspiring and for sharing your artwork with us! I love this one, muchly!

Great masculine valentine! I just picked up a hardwood background stamp on clearance at Hobby Lobby today. Not as large as the SU one but can't wait to play with it.
