Home is Where Your Heart Lives

I have no idea where my mind was going when I made this card, but I sure had fun creating it! I started with a SU! retired background stamp called weathered, and stamped with versamark then embossed it with some Tim Holtz weathered wood distress ep I've had for ages. Next I used a TH stencil to sponge on some stones with distress ink on the left side. I stamped a few wheat sprigs on the left with a Rubbernecker stamp and some assorted neutral inks, then stamped the Rubbernecker tractor with Vintage Photo distress ink. I smeared some Fired Brick distressed ink on an acrylic block, and used an aqua brush to watercolor the tractor. I used some colored pencils to add light color elsewhere on the tractor, then stamped some SNSS birds in the sky, along with a stamped sentiment which had no name on it. I added some faded red highlights to the sentiment with a Tombow marker and added some stamped weeds on the bottom of the card done with a stick stamp by Judith. For the final touch, I distressed the edges with a Heidi Swapp tool I've had for a long time. I placed it all on an early espresso card base and called it done. I suppose any farmer might like this card, but I have no clue what I might do with it? LOL

I'm sharing it with the Tuesday Throwdown challenge #375 which is "distressing."

Thanks for stopping by and make it a great Thursday!

Carol

Wherever your mind was going, it was headed in the right direction since this is awesome! Love the distressed look with the tractor and the way you did the background.

Very cool card and a great combination of elements. I love that you're not sure what you're going to do with the card, it shows that you just went with the creative flow without worrying about what the end result would be.
