Recently my blogging friend Brenda CASED one of my cards with a quilt pattern, so I decided to pull the MFT quilt die out and have another play with it.
{For those still longing for this die, it's available and on sale right HERE. Click on the homepage for the sale code which ends today December 8th.}
I needed a thank-you card, so that's what I made with this. I used a leftover pack of SU! retired dsp to put this together along with a sturdy piece of vanilla cardstock to cut the die-frame. The button in the center was done with 2 IO die-cut buttons from kraft cardstock, glued together for a stronger version. There are 2 shreds of red cardstock woven through the button for a home-spun look. The "thanks" sentiment is by Taylored Expressions and was cut twice from the vanilla cardstock and glued together for a look that pleased my eye. I had all those vanilla pieces and a dsp die-cut quilt frame leftover, so I made a 2nd card to use them up...
This one is done on a kraft card base and I will keep this one for future use. The above card has already been mailed.
Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you're enjoying a wonderful week and getting your Christmas preparations in order. Time's flying isn't it?
Carol

What beautiful geometric cards.
This is really a great die, I always admire your cards with it and last year have received one from you! :) Also these two look wonderfully!! Love the detail of the cute button in the center and the dimension of the sentiment!
Hugs
So very pretty, Carol! Love both patterns and the paper you used! I have the SU Die like this but have not used it yet. Your card is going in my favorite;s folder for a later case. TFS and stay warm! Cold and now calling for snow tomorrow! YIKES!
These quilted designs are so gorgeous. I love them.
What a beautiful die and love both results.xx[aNNie]🎄
Two super quilt cards, Carol. I have this die and it's a while since I used it. Thanks for the inspiration. xx
You make the most beautiful quilt cards Carol and I love both of these! I don't have this quilt die, just might have to add it to my two other ones. lol Ready or not, the snow is coming tonight! Sigh, the older I get the more this "S" word is becoming a nasty 4 letter word! lol Hugs, Brenda
So Lovely! Always a favorite with me...seeing quilt cards! Especially yours!
Very nicely done! I especially like the bright white quilting. :D
I sure do like the quilt pattern. I plan on trying this with my 5th graders. I think it will be good for them to try and fit the pieces back together.
You will already know I love both of these! (been using that die, and my efforts don't look nearly so polished as yours do!) Love the color choices on each. Also love how #1 looks like the outer frame is overlaid, but yet #2 looks inlaid. I also learned to be careful I match those triangle pieces into just the right slot too! Wonderful thank you cards, and I liked Brenda's CASE too! Hugs
Trying to play a little catch up on commenting and I saw that I missed this. I just love the quilt dies, and I love how you used this for a "Thank You".
Two beautiful quilted cards Carol. I recently bought this set but haven't used them yet. Thanks for the inspiration. Barbxx
Oh I love these quilt cards! Looks like a really fun die to play with.
