Today's card was done in my favorite color combination of purple and green. OK, this is more of an orchid color but falls into the category of purple as far as I'm concerned :)
I used an IO die for the graphic background, cutting it from orchid cardstock and placing it on a white card base. Next I used a hand-crocheted medallion made by Jessi Fogan that I won in some blog candy quite a while ago. The flower is a hydrangea from a MFP stamp set, colored with Copics and heat-embossed with clear ep, then fussy cut and popped up with dimensionals. I added a MFT mini tag done a snippet of white that I colored with a matching green Copic marker. Then center was stamped with another MFP sentiment, and the ribbon came from a bouquet of flowers I received for my birthday recently.
I'm entering this into the following challenges:

Oh my this is a beautiful card Carol! I love that background die you have use and the doily is just stunning. You have colored this flower up so beautifully, I think I could reach out and touch the petals they look so real. Hugs, Brenda
Beautiful card, I really like the die cut grid, and cut in a colour to match the flower is a great idea. Hydrangea flowers always seem to make a lovely card and yours is coloured so prettily.

Pretty purple hydrangea and I love it on the backgrounds you've chosen. The modern look of the cover frame looks so pretty with the delicate crochet of the lace on the doily. A lovely design. Also like the light purple and green combo. Very fresh and also soothing. Hugs & Happy wkend too.
