We've all seen this type of shirt and tie card for father's day, but I enjoy making them, so I made a few more for this year. The checkered dsp was a snippet from my stash and I placed it on a vanilla card base. The origami tie was made with thin black cardstock, and I added the SU! sentiment popped up on foam tape right over the tie. Here's the surprise inside the card........
I took some green cardstock and used a Data Dots stencil to sponge some dark grey ink on it, then cut it with a SU! scalloped top punch. I folded a $20 bill into an origami shirt and attached it with just 2 glue dots (for easy removal). I added a "Just for you" sentiment tag with silver cording, and added 2 different twines to the top of the tag to finish it. Every dad likes something "green" for father's day, right? :)
Have a fine Monday and thanks so much for stopping by!
Carol

ReplyDeleteBeen awhile since I made a "shirt" card. Need to see if there is a you tube video to make a tie like that for my next one cause it's really cool! I like the "green" shirt one too! ;-) Very creative cards!

So cool for man cards! Reminds me of the time I made a butterfly bouquet from dollars for a gift. Fun! Hugs, Autumn
