Traditional Christmas Colors
I found a few snippets of dark green and red cardstock buried on my craft table, so it was time to make a Christmas card. I die-cut the SSS pinpoint border with green, then took lots of tiny red snippets and cut some negatives from the die, inserting them back into the die for some Christmas contrast. I added a SNSS scalloped border die to the bottom and added a double piece of red/white twine to the top. The sentiment is a die-cut from Kaisercraft and it's all on a Vanilla card base. I'm sharing this with the following challenges...
Pixies Snippet Playground weeks #275 and 276 - must use snippets
CHNC #327 -anything goes Christmas challenge
CHNC Extra for April 2017 - anything goes Christmas challenge
Thanks for stopping by and make it a great Monday!

ReplyDeleteBrilliant card Carol - and I love how you popped the red inserts into the die cut. It looks quite Scandinavian to me - plus a super way to use up snippets of course!
ReplyDeleteGreat to see you in the Playground :)

You are just going to be ready for Christmas by 4th of July, huh? I see you enjoyed some therapy with the inlay work on this cool card!
ReplyDeleteFun card, Carol and I love the twine. Looks just like a candy cane, which is appropriate for the season. Nice job on all those little inserts. Wishing you a good day.

I'm always impressed with your patience at piecing all those little bits back in. I always manage to lose one along the way and have to cut more (and I don't even do things with as many bits). It's a great card and I hope the lucky recipient will appreciate your efforts! It's only right!
