Today I'm back in Christmas card mode once again. I stamped the Hero Arts Wired Star with Versamark on a piece of green cardstock, then heat-embossed it with gold ep. After fussy cutting it, I wrapped it with some gold cording and added a little bow, popping it up on foam tape for a little dimension.
The lower panel was gold mirror card embossed with a Sizzix Snow Globe embossing folder, and I added a thin strip of cherry cobbler cardstock to the top just for a little contrast. The sentiment was done with an old unmarked wooden stamp, also gold heat embossed on very vanilla cardstock. I used my hexagon punch to create the fishtail ends and put everything on a very vanilla card base. I know it looks white in the photo, but my camera apparently ignores that pretty vanilla color anymore?!
I'm entering this into the following challenges:
Happy Little Stampers March 2017 Christmas Challenge - anything goes with an optional twist of adding a star
CraftyHazelnut's Christmas Challenge CHNC #323 - anything goes as long as it's Christmas with an optional Vintage theme

Thanks to these fun Christmas challenges, I'm well on my way to creating this year's stash, so thanks everyone!
Thanks for stopping by and make it a great Monday too!

Gorgeous card, Carol! Love that big embossed star with the gold cord on it and the pop of gold foil paper embossed is WOW WOW WOW! Totally love this Christmas card! You must already have quite the Christmas card stash! Yippee! TFS and have a wonderful day! :)
My camera always ignores the vanilla color and it ends up looking dirty instead.
LOVE your card Carol! That star is the center attraction and it should be too. Just beautiful with the cord wrapped around it.

I can't think at Christmas, I want spring!! LOL
However, love your card, it has a great design! Fabulous star, and the gold cording is just perfect to compliment the wired embossing! Love the golden embossed stripe in the bottom, too!
Hugs, have a lovely week
The additional gold cording wrapped around this deep green looks terrific with the embossing pattern of the star. Also loving that rich gold embossing on the border. A very classy & beautiful design. TFS & Hugs
A super Christmas card Carol, your wired star is fabulous - you will be well organised at Christmas.

I really love this card Carol. I've not seen that beautiful star before. Love the gold twine wrapped around it and the gold embossed panel looks very elegant. Barbxx
You are on a roll with your Christmas cards!! Love the gold embossed on green and the cording is the perfect touch. Such a pretty card!
Very pretty card and you just reminded me that I have the same Sizzix e/f put away somewhere. I have to dig it out because it looks gorgeous on that gold paper. Very nice holiday card. Wishing you a good night.
Carol, tried 2x today to send an email. They are being returned. Hope no problems. Nothing important, just thanks for blogger info. It worked.
Your Christmas cards are always different on each one and I just love the star designed on this one.xx[aNNie]
Sorry I am a day late, my friend. Work kicked my butt, yesterday. I have today yet and then I am finished. As for this wrapped star, I just love it. It is vintage just like me. The embossing makes the star look really wrapped. You are doing great with your Christmas card stash. I may need to borrow this star to have a play! :)
First glance I thought it was all wrapped, then saw it was a stamp effect with added wrapping,, love the effect and the embossed gold too.

Thanks for entering both of my CHNC challenges with your lovely crafting - hope to see you again soon. x
I like that you put "wire" on the wired star image. Very cool!
I am loving that star Carol and this card! The green with the gold is so pretty and I love that you added some gold thread too and the little bow. The mirror cardstock looks so pretty embossed and the contrast of red looks fabulous! Love the sentiment placed there as well. I know the vanilla card base looks great too although when I look at your baby card before this card, I can tell it is vanilla. Hugs, Brenda
What a clever way to dress up your wonderful star, Carol and the embossed gold border gives it such a rich feel!
Thanks for sharing with us at the Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge and I hope you will join us again soon.
