There's a new challenge in town, and it's Lawn Fawn's 1st one in celebration of their 7th birthday. If you make cards for children, Lawn Fawn is probably high on your list already for super cute images and products! The challenge is to create a birthday card, and I've pulled out some of my favorite Lawn Fawn products for this card. I used 2 different LF paper pads; "Let's Polka" and "Let's Polka in the Dark" along with a "Tag, you're it" die set. The little bird is from the "Science of Love" stamp set. I die cut the tag twice - once in pastel orange and once in the black polka dot, then cut it down to place on one side of the tag. The Happy Birthday sentiment was hand-cut from a CB happy birthday ef. I used an orange marker to highlight the raised "happy" and used a fine-point black marker to color in the de-bossed "birthday" portion. The little chick was stamped and colored with 2 different gel pens, and I added glossy accents to the glasses. The right side border was done with a SU! scalloped border punch, while those little orange and black "embellishments" were the negative cuts from the tag's topper circle. The snippets of ribbon were from my stash.

ReplyDeleteThe choice of alternate papers for the tag and the base of the card is just stunning and so elegant! Love very much it! That supercute and fun chick is really delicious with his glasses, the glossy accents make them more dimensional! And love the sentiment, the little "handmade candi" and the bicolour snippets of ribbon that matches so well the design! Very well done, this is a great card!! Good luck with the challenge!
The mix and placement of the patterned papers is outstanding! LOVE IT! Love the tag and the cute little bird too. FABULOUS card!
