I used some Pacific Point cardstock to make 2 cards today for the guys. I used some Tim Holtz Mixed Media dies to create the corner effect, and backed it with an envelope liner that came in the mail. The colors matched perfectly! The hearts and sentiment were all done with retired SU! stamps and dies, while the arrow was cut with a Sizzix Momenta die, and fussy-cut/matted with black for a little definition.
This card makes use of another die in the Tim Holtz Mixed Media set and everything else is the same except for the arrow which was in my doo-dad box. I cut it in half to extend it to both ends of the heart.
And how about a matching treat box to go along with one of these cards?
This was done with the SU! Window Box Thinlet die set, and I used some GinaMarieDesigns stitched squares to cut the white panels on the sides. The hearts were done with a SU! heart die and the same envelope liner paper as the card above, and I added one tiny heart to the lid, done with a SU! mini heart punch. The with love tag came from a retired SU! set, while the oval name tag is from the Window Box thinlet die set. The thick twine is from SU! and has a real masculine feel.
Here's another view from the side. The top is stamped with "Happy Valentine's Day" and this is going to one of my husband's buddies who lives alone, so hopefully this will cheer him up to know he's remembered on Valentine's Day.
I'm sharing this over at the Snippets Playground #267-268 where you only need to use snippets.
Thanks for stopping by and have yourself a wonderful Valentine's day!
Carol
