Calling All Nurses

We know someone who was leaving their waitressing job to go to nursing school, so I felt compelled to make her a card to wish her well in her new career. I used SU! owl and bird punches to create this little nurse. I added the bird punch wings to the owl and perched her on a MB woodland branch die cut, then sponged in some sky with Tumbled Glass Distress ink. The little sun was die-cut with a Lil Inker small stitched sun, while the center was cut with a Poppystamps stitched Holly Berries and Leaves die and a tiny snippet of orange cardstock. For the nurses cap, I just punched a circle and sponged the edges, cutting it down to fit between the owl's ears; then added a red cross with a SU! mini flower punch. The tag was done with a G studio stamp and edged with a brown marker for definition, then fussy cut and attached.

I'm sharing this with the Tuesday Throwdown challenge TT332 which is "things with wings."

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you make this your best day yet!

Carol

  13. This is so clever! And cute. Tell your student nurse friend that what happens in clinicals, stays in clinicals. We lose many a nurse for posting patient info on social media.
