I have another Valentine to share today using Unity's Alfie - isn't he the cutest little mouse? You may remember when I posted this Alfie card back in January (2nd in the post), but that was done on a grey card base and I colored Alfie a darker shade of grey. This card has a white background and Alfie is the lightest shade of grey and pale pink I could find among my Copics. The red embossed panel was done with a Sizzix ef, and the black punched heart border was done with a MS punch. The sentiment is a older wooden $1 stamp from Michaels bargain bin (when they used to be $1)
I'm sharing this with the Little Red Wagon #380 color challenge - which is to use red and/or pink and black in your creation.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have your valentines finished by now. I mailed all mine early because there's a big snowstorm in our forecast today. They'll arrive way ahead of the holiday for most, but better early than late!
Have a wonderful day!
Carol
I love Alfie! He is still on my wish list but I do not think for long! The sketch you used for the card suits him perfectly. I took the pink option...LOL.
ReplyDeleteI love Alfie, too! He makes for such a cute Valentines Day card that's sure to bring a huge smile to the recipient! Love the heart embossing folder and the design of your card, Carol! You always inspire me with your amazing creations! We lucked out on the snow totals which is fine by me! Woke up to maybe 3 inches at most but those winds & temps are crazy today. Hope by the weekend you can't tell we even had snow! Come on spring! TFS and stay warm today! Great day for crafting and a pot of warm hearty soup! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteThis mouse IS so cute! :) I just love the look on his face! LOL!! The texture heart background is awesome with your layout here Carol!! LOVE IT! <3
ReplyDeleteLove this! The cute little hearts across the bottom just somehow go perfect with this little guy. Precious!
ReplyDeleteStay warm and like I told Mary Anne, grab the snow shovel!
Lynn
He is super cute both ways! I just love the little heart border on the bottom and the great embossed hearts too. Classy Valentine!
ReplyDeleteAlfi is a little cutie. I really like that embossed red panel. It sets the whole card into motion. I also love the font on that sentiment stamp. Great find for $1. Hope you are not getting too hammered with snow. We are scheduled to get 10-16 inches in our area. Heading out for the first round of shoveling and snow blowing in a short while. Have done the small deck several times already for Daisey but she still doesn't want any part of going out in this cold and wind. Be careful and stay warm.

Everyone still calls it the Michael's dollar bin even though they haven't been a dollar in forever.
ReplyDeleteLove Alfie! He's so adorable. I'm all for a monthly appearance of Alfie.
I remember your other Alfie card Carol! I adored him then and I am still crushing on him now! He is just the cutest I love that red piece that you embossed, who is that embossing folder by, SU??? Love, love, love! Hugs, Brenda
ReplyDeleteWhat a cutie!! Your card would fit in the Try Stampin on a Tuesday sketch challenge this week too I think? Love it! That heart embossing folder really pops.
ReplyDeleteLove this guy, thinking I may need this stamp.xx{aNNie}
ReplyDeleteAlfie is very adorable with this quizzical expression holding the tiny pink heart. Like the way you've matted & displayed his cute little self, and the hearts border punch is one of my fav MS ones. The white dots trim around the hearts makes this stand out so much.TFS (and my few Val's got mailed late!)
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet image would be welcome in my post..........Lis
