Love Bug

I always try to add a touch of blue color to some of my valentines to make them more suitable for boys, so here's a Love Bug card that includes some Island Indigo, along with a snippet of dsp from my over-flowing stash. I stamped the image (an old wooden stamp) on white, and colored it with Copics, then die cut it with a MFT stitched circle die. I matted it with red using a SB scalloped circle die. The horizontal border was embossed with a SU! ef, and the heart is from the new SU! Sealed with Love framelit die set. The arrow was die cut with a  Momenta arrow and woven into the slits in the heart.

I based my card on the Tuesday Morning Sketch Challenge #384 but flipped the sketch.

This is going into my Cards from the Heart card drive box, and I've used this sketch to make several more cards in assorted colors and patterns for this card drive.
Thanks for stopping by and make it a great day!

  10. Aw... cute! I like the addition of blue to your Valentine's card. I've seen some great color combos being used this year. I like that trend. As for me, I should add blue to every card I make because I have more blue snippets than you can shake a stick at!
