My brother-in-law is celebrating a milestone birthday next week, so I made this card for him. I used a retired SU! "Happiness is a Journey" stamp set for the train image which was stamped with Versamark, then heat-embossed with gold embossing powder. The background panel is Daffodil cardstock, stamped with a retired SU! "weathered" background in Smoky Slate ink. Both panels along with the cardbase were die cut with Lil Inker stitched rectangles. I added 3 black die-cut circles along with 3 golden Candi Dots to the side, along with a SNSS birthday sentiment. For the final touch, I used a pencil eraser to sponge white craft ink to look like smoke coming out of the stack. Life truly is a journey, and it definitely gets weathered along the way, but hey! There's still smoke coming out of the stack as we huff and puff along, right?
Have a great weekend and stay warm (or cool) wherever you happen to live in the world. Thanks for stopping by!

The that train chugging along with smoke coming out of it's stack kind of reminds me on me. LOL You did a marvelous job on this card and your BIL will surely appreciate it.
Have a good weekend. It's darn cold here and we may get some snow Monday morning but then it will warm up and turn to rain.
Great masculine card full of interesting details! Love the blue smoke onto the brown embossing, and the crackled paper on the back! I'have been very impressed by the embellishments on the side and such a surprise learning that you have made them! Stunning use of your golden candi dots, well done!!
Lovely card for a man TFS MERRY CHRISTMAS.............Lis
This is a wonderful masculine card, Carol! I love the train image and how you embossed it. The Weathered panel is perfect and goes beautifully with the train image! I really, REALLY like this! And of course, the stitched panel completes this card! Love it, muchly! I'm sure your BIL is going to love it! TFS and stay warm. It is snowing here this morning but to turn to rain tomorrow. Tis the season!
Certainly a great male card.xx{aNNie}
We're still smokin' after all these years! Woo woo! I love this card in its masculine glory. I like trains in real life too. My commute home requires getting over/under the train tracks. I still get a thrill went I have to stop and watch the train go by. choo choo!
Great masculine card, and I love the old train with the 'weathered wood'. Good analogy on your comment about that too. Brilliant of you to think of the eraser & white ink to smudge on the smoke and this one is really cool. TFS
