I saw a card similar to this on Pinterest, so I had to give it a go. I found the free cod fish and Santa hat digital images online, and merged them together along with a computer generated sentiment. I don't know why, but I just found this whole idea fun for Christmas. I added some red stickles to the Santa hat and framed it with a die-cut Lil Inkers stitched rectangle, adding a piece of gold trim around one side. Maybe I just have a strange sense of humor because I made a 2nd one......
For this one I resized the Santa hat a wee bit smaller and added a different piece of designer paper for the background.
I guess I'm not the only one with a weird sense of humor. I saw this photo on our local tv news yesterday and couldn't stop laughing!
Have a great Friday and stay warm if it's cold where you live. It's bitter cold here where I live!! Keep Smiling :)

I happen to love these cards, both versions. I especially love the second one with that very pretty background paper. The touch of gold is a sweet touch. I saw that "ditto" house last year and couldn't stop laughing either. A weird sense of humor is a good thing to have. Have a warm day.
Your card idea is new to me and very funny! Great job with those digi images!
The lights are funny too, we have a lot of neighbors who go all out, I will have to keep this in mind!
These cards are the funniest, Carol! I seen SU also has a Cod & sentiment in one of it's sets this year and I got a kick out of it! Both cards are adorable and I love that you added that cute Santa hat! You used pretty papers on them and I love the Stitched Rectangle frames! Someone will get a huge giggle from these!!!
Funny you posted the picture of the house with lights! I just seen this somewhere and laughed my butt off. Sorta looks like my neighborhood!! LOL
TFS and keep warm! You know it's bitterly cold when my doggies are not bugging every 10 mins to go out to chase the birds & squirrels! LOL They are out for 5 mins to do their business and back inside they come! How many days till spring???
Great merging, I have tought that this is really a rubber stamp! Fun cards both with that punny sentiment, and love the different backgrounds!
I can't understand the humor in the photo with the lights and "ditto". Online translator says me that ditto is "said" but I don't think this is right.
Hugs
Having an avid fisherman in the house, I found this super humorous. Great job. I just can not get warm and The pets are not pesting too much here, either. Brrrrrr!
Love the card and yes that Ditto is very funny MERRY CHRISTMAS................Lis
Haha! Love these cards Carol, they crack me up! The "ditto" house cracks me up too, because my house is just like the dark house, only I do have a tree in the window. lol Hugs, Brenda
Way to go Carol, awesome creations.xx
This made me smile...how creative :)
Have a Merry Christmas :)
I'm smiling here too. Love your cards and the decorated houses side by side are so funny. We have one road in the village where there is a Christmas lights war going on. Every other house is lit up like a Christmas tree. I did wonder if it was a protest to the council for the lack of street lighting though!! hugs Mrs A.
Clever you at finding this cute digi image, and then merging the hat together with this fish. Now I'd never think of a Santa fish, but this guy is cool, in both the different pattern papers you've done him up with. The sentiment made me smile too. I enjoyed the 'ditto' picture too! We didn't get the predicted ice today, which is fine with me. We did get the misty rain though, and cold. You take care, stay warm. Hugs & Merry Christmas.
Haha Awesome card! These are great and so cute. Love unique stuff like this.
Oh! I'm with you, wish I had seen these cards before I started mine, they would have all been these LOL. Absolutely LOVE the ditto I did laugh out loud. I'm going to save the image and hope to remember to use it next year!!
Thanks for the MERRY Christmas

I'm still snorting over the "ditto" decorations. We decorated our house the day after Thanksgiving. Over the weekend the neighbors to our east decorated. The following weekend the neighbors to the west... um...decorated? They ran a string of lights but it was all tangled up in a wad after a few feet and there it sits, festively on the ground. It makes me smile every time I see it.
The Christmas cod makes me laugh too. I got the SU set with the llama and bear because they are cool but it was Christmas cod in the set that really sold me on it. I didn't use it this year though. It's in my arsenal for next year though.
LOL!! This is too cute! Reminds me of that "singing fish" they used to sell at Christmas time! Love the Santa hat and sparkle! Your Christmas lights photo is hilarious too! Thanks for giving me a chuckle this afternoon!! :)
