Birthday Card for a Sweet Friend
I made this card for my friend Donna who recently celebrated her birthday. She has 2 yorkies so I thought this image would be perfect for her card. You can click on her name and scroll down to see a picture of her adorable doggies :) I used all SU! papers and cardstock for this, along with a Martha Stewart cupcake punch and a decorative dots embossing folder from SU. The birthday sentiment is from SNSS and the cherry on top of the cupcake is a gemstone from Pizzazz Aplenty. I used an older (I forget the name) embossing folder to add a swirl to the frosting and used a Scor-pal to add the grooves in the cupcake paper.
I'm taking this over to the Tuesday Throwdown #304 challenge which is "Happy Birthday" as well as the Snippets Playground #240 which is to always use snippets.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you all have a great Sunday!
Carol

Happy Birthday, Donna! What a sweet pooch you have made for her special day, Carol! Love all the added details, too.
Lovely card for your friend, and such pretty details with the cupcake and the yourshire doggie, just perfect for her!! Love very much the swirl on the frosting and the cherry on the top of the cupcake!! Great papers, too!
"Yorkshire" doggie... my previous digit was a mistake
The blue and red colors make this card so cheerful, especially with the cute puppy face as the focal image. I like how you used different embossing folders for different elements. I can only imagine your friend loved the card!
This oneis adorable! Lovin the cupcake punch...I never saw that punch before!
The swirl in the icing is a great finishing touch!
As nice as this card looks here on Carol's blog let me tell you it is even nicer in person. I am so lucky to have received this precious card for my birthday. You really knows how much my "babies" mean to me so you picked the perfect image to use. Every bit of detail was put into this card, which is the norm for you, Carol, but I need to tell you that it is totally appreciated. I do hope you have a good Sunday. We are getting on and off rain all day, but at least the dreadful heat is gone for a couple of days. Thanks Again.
Gorgeous cute card!!
Such a sweet image Love the color here .Lis
I'm so ashamed of myself for forgetting Donna's birthday! Glad you remember though and with this cute card. I bet this little pup looks just like one of her babies. Precious!

This card is SO cute, Carol! I love the Yorkie and the pretty paper you used! Kinda reminds me of my Bailee since she is part Yorkie/Cairn Terror. Donna is sure to love this! Happy Birthday to her!
Very nice card! I would love a card like this! So jealous!
Awww, this is an adorable card Carol! I love the color combo and the pattern paper. The stamp of the dog is just as cute as can be. I can imagine that your friend was thrilled with this birthday card! Hugs, Brenda
This is too cute! I love all the attention to detail like the scored cupcake wrapper and the swirl in the frosting.

Cute Yorkie! I'm sure your friend will love it.
A really sweet card Carol and Donna tells us it was even better in real life. I love the little dog image and have a friend who would adore this too. The swirl on the cupcake frosting looks good. Barbxx
