Welcome Spring

There's a new challenge at the Tuesday Throwdown #292 which has a theme of " welcome spring." I pulled out this Penny Black spring image and colored it with Copics, placing it on a background I made using leftover snippets of dsp. I used assorted strips of orange and yellow dsp, making a herringbone pattern, and then embossed the finished panel with a SU! arrow embossing folder. I die cut the card base and image panel with Lil Inker stitched rectangles and called this one done.

Thanks for stopping by, and I wish you a day of sunshine. Here in PA it's rained every day this week, and it's pouring right now as I'm writing this - so enjoy the sunshine if you have it! I keep thinking the sun will come out tomorrow............or the next day............

This is adorable! Usually May is my favorite month! But not all this weather!

Very adorable! You can't go wrong with Penny Black. We are having a day of sunshine but it brought along wind with it. Hold onto a brick or something or else you are outta here and into the next county before you know it. I wondered if that background was your famous herringbone or just the design in the paper. I like how you dry embossed it too.

Y'all are going to flood out with all that rain! Maybe it'll wash you down to Texas. We're having really pretty weather for a change here. Nice weather will be coming for you soon I'm sure.
Love this cute card and that fabulous background! So pretty in the oranges too. Of course the image is just adorable!

Sorry I haven't been around of late, Carol, but life just happened these past two weeks. I have gone over all your recent cards and I could not name a favorite one. They are all so nice and/or cute. I love the colors/papers on this one and this little hedgie is colored to perfection. Wishing you a good weekend and a Happy Mother's Day.

This past week has been wet and dreary. Love the card and maybe it will be a harbinger of nice weather.

What a fantastic background! Again, this post did not show up until today...I think they keep hiding with the sun. I will take Spring wherever I can find it. Thanks!

You ought to have known I totally would adore this card! Such a cute image Carol and I do love how you used those pretty snippets for the backing layer - clever!

We have sunshine here at long last - it's well overdue and I expect it won't last - but we're enjoying it while we can :)
